# Micro Events

# What are Micro events? 🎪

Micro events are short, creative challenges that you complete in your own time during a set period. Unlike [Community Games], there is no live party to join.

Instead, you capture a specific moment, attempt or achievement in game and submit it as your entry. Each Micro event focuses on a fun objective, whether that is pulling off a stylish play, completing a challenge, or showing off a unique moment.

Once the submission period closes, the Micro events team reviews all eligible entries and awards prizes to the winners.

## How to take part 🖊️

Micro events run entirely on our official [Discord server](https://discord.gg/cubecraft).

1. Watch for a new Micro event announcement in Discord.
2. Read the announcement in full. It contains the challenge details, the submission channel and any event specific requirements.
3. Complete the challenge in game and capture your entry.
4. Post your entry in the submission channel named in the announcement.

||| Rules and guidelines differ from event to event, so always read the announcement carefully before taking part. Misconduct in a Micro event can lead to consequences.

## Staying updated 🔔

Every Micro event is announced on Discord with the **@Events** tag. Grab the role by clicking **Channels and Roles** at the top of your channel list.

## Prizes 🏅

Winners are chosen on creativity, execution, or how well their entry meets the criteria of that event.

* Prizes vary depending on the challenge and several other factors, so we do not publish a fixed prize list.
* Only the selected winners receive rewards.
* Get featured on our Youtube and/or Instagram Story.
