Appeal and Punishment FAQs
Appeals
How are appeals reviewed?
Every team member has their own way of responding to and handling the appeals that they receive. Some factors that may be considered are the severity of the punishment, when the punishment was given, the number of past punishments and what they were for, along with the quality of the appeal; however, every team member will ultimately consider whether or not you're likely to break the rules again in the future and if you deserve another chance.
If you disagree with the outcome of your appeal, you can contact the team member who handled the appeal. Refer to THIS guide for more information.
How will I know whether my appeal has been accepted?
You can check the status of your appeal by going on to the appeal site, typing in your username, and checking the current status of your appeal.
Another way you can check in just by going in-game and seeing whether you can access the server if you are banned or typing in chat if you are muted.
Please note that asking a team member to check your appeal will NOT speed up the process because they probably cannot even see your appeal.
Punishments
What does it mean to be banned/muted?
If your account has been banned, then you will not be able to access our server anymore until the ban is lifted or expires.
If your account has been muted, you will not be able to talk in the server until the mute is lifted or expires.
I was recently given a warning. What does this mean?
If you have recently received a warning, then this means that you have been found to be in violation of our server's guidelines. A reason will usually be listed alongside your in-game warning, which will be present for the next thirty days you log in. Even if the warning is not visible to you, the warning is still relevant.
If you have received a warning, it is not the end of the world. However, it does mean you can not violate the same rule as you will be punished for the next occurrence.
Why has my account be banned/muted?
Accounts are banned/muted for many different reasons. These reasons include, but are not limited to:
Use of Illegal Modifications. A complete list of allowed mods can be found HERE.
Teaming with others in solo game modes
Swearing
Inappropriate name or skin
Advertising
You can view our rules here: https://www.cubecraft.net/rules
Not knowing the rules is NOT an acceptable excuse on an appeal.
How long am I banned/muted for?
Mute and ban lengths vary on the rule broken. You can view punishment tracks on our rules page. If you break the same rule multiple times, your punishment will increase in length.
If we suspect that you are bypassing a punishment by using another account to play on our server, then all associated accounts will be punished. You are not allowed to create another account to bypass your punishment.
