Report a bug

A bug is anything that does not behave as it should: a game that will not start, a world that fails to load, a wrong message in chat, an item that vanishes. By submitting a bug report, our development team can take a further look at what problems you or other players are facing.

You need a forum account to post a bug report. See [Passport: one account for everything].

Which route you use depends on whether you can make the bug happen again on demand.

If you cannot reproduce it

Random, one-off bugs go to Discord, because they need information that expires.

  1. Type /whereami immediately after it happens.
  2. Go to #team-help on our Discord and select the game errors button.
  3. Paste your /whereami output when asked, together with a short description of what went wrong.

The /whereami output identifies the exact server instance. Once you leave that game, we can no longer look into what happened. Run it before you do anything else.

If you can reproduce it

Reproducible bugs go to the forums, where they can carry detail.

  1. Go to the Bug Reports section of the forums.
  2. Choose Java Bug Report or Bedrock Bug Report.
  3. Select Create a report.
  • Don't see the button? Log in first: [Passport#log-in].
  1. Fill in the form and submit.
  2. Reply to the thread you created if you remember anything else.

What to include

The single most useful thing you can provide is the exact steps that trigger the bug, in order, starting from the lobby. A report that says "the shop is broken" cannot be is too vague and might be denied for being not reproducible. One that says "join Skyblock, open the shop, select any item, and the menu closes" can be easily be forwarded.

Also include: your platform, your game version, the gamemode and all other relevant information asked in the form.

Do not exploit a bug while waiting for a fix. Abusing bugs is a punishable offence, even if you were the one who reported it.
