Articles on: Punishments and reports

Why is my connection blocked?

A blocked connection means your IP address cannot reach CubeCraft.

It does not mean your account was caught cheating. It usually means another account using the same internet connection, such as your home WiFi, a shared network or a VPN, has an active punishment.

Why you might be blocked

  • Someone else on your network was punished.
  • You tried to join on another account while punished. That is bypassing, and it extends the original punishment as well.
  • You connected through a VPN whose IP address has been used for ban evasion.

How long does it last?

Between a few minutes and a few months. The length is calculated automatically by Sentinel from the accounts associated with your current and previous IP addresses, and the punishments those accounts received.

We cannot tell you the exact duration. That is not us being unhelpful: publishing the calculation would tell ban evaders precisely how to work around it.

What you can do

Wait for it to expire, then join normally.

Blocks are not appealable. There is no form, no code, and no queue.

Recently unbanned and still blocked? Allow up to 24 hours for the block to clear on its own.

What the team cannot do

Nobody at CubeCraft, including Customer Support, can:

  • tell you how long the block will last,
  • remove the block,
  • offer a way around it.

Please do not ask team members to lift it. The system is automatic and they have no ability to change it.

On a VPN? Turn it off and try again. That resolves it immediately in a lot of cases, because the block is attached to the VPN's address rather than your account.
